　　法語的demander和英語的demand翻成中文都可以是“要求”，兩者的區(qū)別在哪里呢?

　　Demander is not to demand, but to ask, to request, while to demand is exiger(exigence),revendiquer, etc.

　　【法語】

　　法語“demander”是詢問，請求，需要的意思。

　　【英語】

　　英語“demand”是強烈要求，責(zé)令的意思

　　英語的demand翻成法語要用exiger(exigence)revendiquer等詞。

　　下面看幾個例句：

　　Mon fils a demandé un nouveau vélo pour Noël. My son asked for a new bike for Christmas.

　　我兒子想要輛自行車做圣誕禮物。

　　Ma nièce a demandé une bourse. My niece has applied for a scholarship.

　　我侄女申請了獎學(xué)金。

　　En 1940, la France demanda un armistice à l’Allemagne.

　　In 1940 France asked Germany for an armistice.

　　1940年，法國向德國請求停戰(zhàn)。(就是投降啦)

　　以上幾個例子中的demander都不能翻譯成英語的demand.

　　如:第2句, 如果譯為 My niece demanded a scholarship, 那就是向?qū)W校強行索要獎學(xué)金了. (她爸爸是李剛吧? ^v^)

　　再如第3句, 如果譯成 "France demanded an armistice" 肯定是不對的. 因為當(dāng)時法國已經(jīng)戰(zhàn)敗了, 只能乞求媾和.

　　再看英語的demand：

　　The headmaster demanded an explanation. Le directeur exigea une explication.

　　校長責(zé)令(對方)作出解釋。

　　The police are demanding the right to strike. La police revendique le droit de grève.

　　警察堅決要求得到罷工的權(quán)利。
